Chavez Frias: opposition will end up as cosmic dust in ideological
debate

Speaking during the graduation ceremony of Vuelvan Caras job training
program graduates, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias has invited
the opposition to a debate on the Socialist model, which, he states,
does not contradict Democracy, unlike Capitalism.

The opposition, Chavez Frias says, has started a survey among
Venezuelans, asking them whether they prefer Socialism or Democracy.

It's the wrong equation, Chavez Frias insists ... "they have started the
war ... I knew where they coming from but we will turn them into cosmic
dust in the debate on ideas because we do have ideas to discuss."

There can be no revolution without revolutionary ideology, the President
told graduates, and Capitalism is a perverse model, a dictatorship that
does not lead to real democracy .... with Socialism there is authentic
democracy ... capitalism will never solve the problem of unemployment."

Socialism isn't dead, the President jokes but was on a spree.

Recalling a famous phrase at the birth of the Fourth Republic, Chavez
Frias announces that for the first time Venezuela is indeed "sowing
petroleum" with the Vuelvan Caras program in which money from oil
revenues has been invested.

The graduates will be granted credits zero interests and 3 years grace
to help them become entrepreneurs and start cooperatives with funding
from the Venezuelan Petroleum Corporation (CVP).
