Actually Cuba did a dry run test of this excercise when they sent a pilot
who landed a MiG in one of their airbases and was discovered two minutes
before when he asked for permission to land.

This pilot became a hero of the "gusanos" and "rescued" his family in a
daring operation that entailed turning a stretch of road into a landing
strip.

After a few years as Hermanos al Rescate's Hero Pilot, he went back to Cuba,
as his intelligence mission was over. A total coup.
