(A few years ago, Jim took the side of some Canadian Indians who were in a
dispute with a self-anointed savior over testimony they gave about abuse in
residential schools to a UN-sponsored hearing. This guy is named Kevin
Annett and has been slandering Jim ever since--accusing him of being a cop,
etc. Basically, this is the same kind of crap that has been hurled at Ward
Churchill by a faction of AIM and must be repudiated. So, basically the
poison below is meant for informational purposes. Jim adds these comments:

Hi Louis,

I truly believe that this is Annett himself writing; it was just forwarded
to me by Macdonald. I am writing on my new wireless from Vancouver, BC. As
ol Chiarman Mao noted: To be attacked by the enemy is a good thing because
it means a clear line of demarcation has been drawn; to be pained black and
totally without virtue is even better. I must be getting to ol Rev. Kev. I
have had numerous inquiries on Annett and I have always just forwarded his
own emails in his own self-indicting words.

In the context of what I do and where I operate--and you know well as you
have been with me-- this could get me killed by those who do not know me.
I'll deal with Annett in time and in creative ways--no problem.

Please post this to the lists as it is quite instructive. First of all,
there is no such thing as a Metis Nation. Even the concept of "Metis" plays
the blood-quamtum game and plays right into the hands of those promoting
genocide. Secondly, even by Annett's own admission, at the time of the
Tribunal and shortly afterward, I was not yet aware of Annett's
opportunism, dissembling and cynical use of victims and their testimonies.
I not only do not know who Perry George is, but I said nothing against
Annett until after the Tribunal.

In any case, I have no fear of public expose of these forms of slander and
libel as those who know me know me and those who don't don't.

This is quite instructive which is why I do not mind it placed on the
lists. By the way, in Canada, libel and slander are also covered under the
criminal code as well as civil. If I really were an agent, I'm sure there
would be enough for a criminal conviction here because of the
life-threatening implications of being "jacketed" as an "agent".

By the way, I am also a direct descendent of Big Bear one of the leaders of
the second Louis Riel uprising for what is worth. But blood-quantum, is, in
and of itself, no credential of any kind of Indianness, rather it is how
one lives and by whom one is known that is the test.

A Welcome and Appeal from Metis Elder Jeremiah Jourdain, written from
hiding, May 4, 2005

Dear friends and family of the Indigenous Nations of Turtle Island and the
world,

I would like to introduce myself and offer some insights into our long
struggle to uncover and speak the truth about the war and genocide that has
been inflicted on our people since the arrival of European Christianity on
our lands.

The conditions imposed on me by that ongoing war compel me to write these
words to you from "underground". Jeremiah Jourdain is a psuedonym I am
using to protect my family and I from the terrorism and persecution of the
Canadian settler state, its racist churches, and its native puppet
politicians; a terrorism that has claimed the lives of several of my
friends and family members since 1995.

Originally, I am from the Cree and Metis Nations of the Red River region
near Winnipeg. I am presently living and working with the Vancouver Island
Metis Nation. In the spirit of my ancestors, some of whom took up arms with
Louis Riel and Gabriel Dumont in the Metis Rebellions, I am writing these
words in order to support the efforts of The Truth Commission into Genocide
in Canada, and its founder Reverend Kevin Annett, to bring to justice the
perpetrators of the war of extermination still being waged by Canada and
its churches against our indigenous nations.

Unlike those who are being paid by the RCMP to discredit and malign Kevin
Annett and his selfless work, I am a living eyewitness to the work and
person of Kevin. In order to uphold the aims and work of the Truth
Commission, it is necessary for me to come forward publicly and defend
Kevin's reputation and work, because of the way that the Canadian state and
its churches have recently re-activated their smear campaign against Kevin
and the work of the Truth Commission, which is the only such independent,
non-state funded group in Canada.

In this regard, I am conscious of the statement made by the RCMP/FBI
undercover agent Jim Craven, who was assigned to destroy Kevin Annett and
his reputation at the June, 1998 IHRAAM Tribunal into Residential Schools
in Vancouver. Craven said to an eyewitness at this event,

"If we discredit Kevin Annett we discredit the issue ... That's why we have
to bury this guy." (June 13, 1998, Jim Craven speaking to Perry George)

The government and churches responsible for genocide in residential schools
have tried to do exactly that to Kevin Annett for nearly a decade now. And,
with the recent international pressure being brought to bear against Canada
and its churches by Guatemala and several indigenous groups at the United
Nations, the state-sponsored attacks on Kevin and his work have intensified.

I am one of the people who can help counter this evil effort to silence and
discredit Kevin Annett and the truth he has revealed. I am compelled by
these recent attacks on Reverend Annett and his work with the Truth
Commission into Genocide in Canada to come forward and testify to the truth
of what he has documented, and to his honourable and selfless character as
a tireless, truthful and valiant defender of the poor, native people, and
all those who are persecuted.

I have known Kevin Annett personally for a dozen years, since March, 1993.
I am one of the original witnesses to the work and ministry of Reverend
Kevin Annett in Port Alberni, BC, and was an active member of his
congregation of St. Andrew's united church between March, 1993 and January,
1995, when he was fired without cause from his pulpit for uncovering
criminal actions by officers of his then-church. I worked alongside
Reverend Annett during that time in his outreach work with native and
low-income people; I ate with him, delivered food to poor families with
him, and prayed with him. Since his terrible firing and expulsion from the
united church of canada, I have witnessed all of the events surrounding his
expulsion without due process from that church, and the state-sponsored
smear and misinformation campaign against him.

I am the first person to admit that I am not a "neutral" observer of these
events and of Reverend Kevin Annett. No-one who has ever met and worked
with Kevin can come away untouched or unimpressed by the depth of this
man's character and his great love for truth, for the Creator, and for
aboriginal people. Kevin Annett is quite simply the only minister of Christ
who can justifiably bear that title, in my experience.

Unlike his critics and detractors, I have personally observed Kevin in
action for many years, both inside and outside the church, and I have never
once seen him engage in an untruthful or base action towards another human
being, even his "enemies". He is a model human being who holds to the high
road of virtue, and is a man whom I would trust to watch over and defend my
own children and grandchildren.

I did not come to such a conclusion about Kevin Annett over night. I have
had differences with Kevin and am still not convinced that his appeal to
the conscience of so-called "white" Canadians will reap anything from them
but further persecution, lies and denial. I do not share Kevin's faith in
the power of love. But what has surprised even an "unbeliever" like me is
the purity and completeness with which Kevin Annett practices what he
preaches, and puts into practice the non-violent and truth-speaking way of
Jesus in the midst of a violent, oppressive society and church.

Kevin will not compromise the truth, and that very completeness and
goodness in him has caused him to make many powerful enemies among men of
evil intent. The influence of these men reaches into the very centres of
power in Canada and the USA: not simply in the state-funded churches, the
RCMP, the Canadian government and its puppet agenices like the Assembly of
First Nations, but in multinational corporations like Weyerhauser,
Interfor, and resource companies tied into the American military. All of
these institutions have profited from the theft of native land and the
murder of our people. And all of them want to see Kevin and his work
silenced. I once joked with Kevin,

"Are you trying to piss off everyone, Kev?"

And he replied, with typical accuracy,

"No. But they all have the same blood on their hands."

You may each want to consult the Chronology of attacks made against Kevin
Annett and our work by these "gentlemen" since 1993, which is posted on our
website: ttp://canadiangenocide.nativeweb.org . Then you may begin to see
why Kevin is an unofficial political prisoner in Canada who has been
targeted for "permanent attention", in the euphemism used to describe the
"black ops" program against Kevin and the Truth Commission by an RCMP
official with whom I spoke in Ottawa in May of 2002.

I have been one of the few people to consistently monitor these attacks
against Kevin and the Truth Commission, and I can verify how effectively
the state and its churches have isolated Kevin and prevented people from
supporting his work. Kevin has an email list of nearly 2,000 people and two
hundred organizations, but he remains in a penniless condition, blacklisted
and unable to find employment, his public lectures regularly cancelled, and
his speaking tours gutted because of a lack of funds.And any notable
scholars who come forward to support Kevin's work, like Noam Chomsky or
Amnesty International co-founder Jennifer Wade, are "spoken to" and
threatened if they publcily associate with Kevin's efforts to reveal the
full truth of the murder of our people.

The ones who are primarily "speaking to" such supporters and destroying our
work are the bought and paid for whores who like to call themselves the
"leaders" of aboriginal people in Canada: people like Phil Fontaine and
Wendy Grant of the "Assembly of First Nations" and Ed John of the "First
Nations Summit" in BC. My own sources in the RCMP tell me how these Indian
politicians employ permanent "goon squads" of enforcers to not only protect
their drug trade and pedophile networks on Indian reserves, by which they
terrorize their own people and keep political control of them, but to
monitor and attack Kevin Annett whenever his work begins to achieve more
public and "mainstream" notice.

My knowledge of all of this is one of the reasons I am writing this in
hiding, and through a false identity.The native polticians I mentioned have
either personally murdered their critics, or arranged their murder, and are
implicated in rape, pedophilia, drug dealing, and a dozen other crimes. But
they have official protection from the canadian state, and will never be
prosecuted for their crimes, any more than will the Catholic, Anglican, and
United churches of Canada for their residential school atrocities.

I am writing this to you now because I have made the decision to step out
from hiding and stand with Kevin Annett, as I once did so openly in Port
Alberni. This decision will probably cost me my life, and perhaps the lives
of my children and grand-children. But unless someone is willing to
sacrifice themselves, the present evils, the murder of our children and our
lands, will continue. Surely Kevin has been our commander and guide in this
sense; he has shown us what we must do, and if we do not emulate him and
stand with him at this time, we are nothing more than cowards and hypocrites.

Kevin and his Vancouver network have recently raised the ire of the
churches and government by publicly demanding to know the location of the
children who died in residential schools across Canada. I have added my own
name to the statement sent to Ottawa and the churches about this. I will
join Kevin in future public actions to force an answer from these cowardly
murderers of our children.

I expect nothing less from each of you who are reading this.

You must help us in this work with your presence, your prayers, AND your
money. We have to raise a travel fund of $2500 before June 15 to gather our
forces by traveling in a caravan to native communities across Canada. We
are also printing off a second edition of our book "Hidden from History:

overcome right now  by my own tears, my fear at what lies ahead, and my
sense of hopelessness. But Creator has a plan that is unfolding, and it is
an honour and my only strength to be part of this righteous battle.

I hope I have spoken to your heart and that you will hear the voices of the
fallen children, calling out the truth.
