RE: [Marxism] New Pope hated 60's campus activism

My impression has always been that the neo-cons in the U.S. are largely
rationalizers, people who come up with "reasons" to justify what
government, the military or Big Business finds it convenient to do at
any given point.

The Pope is a fish of a different scale.  I was reading in a collection
of essays by the new Pope--under the title SALT OF THE EARTH.  The guy
is very intelligent, consistent, and ideological.  I suspect that,
unlike his predecessor, Benedict XVI is going to be much more
independent and much harder to control.
