Also ask, if there was any follow-up to these actions.

According to Fred Halstead's account in his book "Out Now!", the
first public protest against the US-war against Vietnam was in 1963
where members of the "Student Peace Union" took part in the
traditional Easter marches with signs against the Vietnam war.
