A history of the Gonzale's organization, the Crusade for Justice would have to 
include it's degeneration into gangsterism in the 1970's. Does anyone remember 
the picture in the "Militant" in 1976 or 1977, with a picture of Fred Halstead 
and another SWP member, bloodied and beaten. They were attacked by several 
members of Gonzales organization, when they attempted to speak with him or 
members of the Crusade for Justice. I never cease to be amazed how after 
someone dies, they become paragons of virtue.
