I recommend the writings and speeches by:
Dolores Huerta
Cesar Chavez
Reies Lopez Tijerina
Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzalez
Jose Angel Gutierrez
Elizabeth Martinez
Bert Corona
Rodolfo Acuna
David Montejano
...and there are many more. But these are the ones
that came to me by memory.
One thing that has always made me laugh is how the
America Left always [re]discovers the Chicano/Mexico
community every generation. We have been here in the
US since even before the infamous Plymouth Rock.
As the old Chicano saying goes...."I did't cross the
river, the river crossed me." ;)
