I'll try to respond to  a number of comments in one email.

The first question, of course, is if it's hard to believe that CIA agents
would kill themselves, what makes it easier to believe that Saudis would do
so?

I really had no intention of getting very deeply into this, because to me
the focus should be on the lack of believability of the government's story
rather than on trying to figure out what actually happened. But here goes,
why assume that anyone was flying the planes? Trying to explain how 19
amateurs can fly huge jet airplanes having no prior experience doing so and
then hitting targets perfectly at high speed is difficult. On the other
hand, as another writer discussed, there's the autopilots. But then, who has
access to the autopilot systems? How easy is it for supposed hijackers with
no experience flying the planes to reprogram the systems and get it done
perfectly? Is it that among the many choices there are
Choice #1 O'Hare  Airport, #2 LAX Airport in Los Angeles, 3# Jacksonville
Florida, runway 23, #4 WTC South Tower, #5 Pentagon, North East Wing? I
don't think so.

The easiest explanation is either pre-programming of the autopilot or a
homing device planted in the WTC that could communicate with the planes when
they were within range. All major airports have such systems to guide planes
for landings. With 50,000 people going in and out every day, cleaning crews,
maintenance crews etc, and the equipment necessary for even long range
communications sitting on top of the building, it is not a very difficult
task. (As people found out on 911 when their TVs stopped working, the
building was the transmitter for NYC TV stations.) The question arises, is
either possible? From talking to pilots and reading their magazines, their
complaint is that a plane like a 767 or 737 can literally fly itself. But
that means that someone has to initially program it to do so or be able to
control it from the ground. Both are within the realm of current technology.
You then have a choice in terms of what to believe. Is it more believable
that 19 Saudis who don't appear on the passenger lists and at least 6 of
whom claim to be alive, with no experience flying huge American jets,
organized a suicide pact, lived lives in a foreign country, mixed in with
their new countrymen, broke their supposed religious principles in order to
'fit in' and avoided a defense system created with hundreds of billions of
dollars by the richest most powerful state the world has ever seen were the
culprits or that a small crew either knowingly or not, put
a homing device in a huge building that had tens of thousands of people go
in and out of it every day, such crew not having to move to another
continent, or change their lifestyle, or arrange to meet 18 other
individuals to commit suicide or defeat a huge military security system?

On 911, Bush issued an order preventing all federal employees from talking
about the events of the day without prior approval from on high. The one
tape documenting events of the day whose existence has been made public was
'disappeared'.

In addition, this is but one of the holes in the government's conspiracy
theory of 911.
