[Marxism] Does the Resistance Target Civilians? Accordingto USIntel, Not Really [comments/criticisms appreciated]

>The French resistance killed 4 times as many French

Well, what does that mean? Does it mean they planted car bombs to kill 3 German
soldiers and wiped out a whole cafe full of civilians? Or, does it mean they
targeted whole towns or neigborhoods of collaborators and kill them all? I tend
to doubt this was true.

The problem is determining what exactly the resistance is? What wings are doing
what, etc. It seems to me that those wings that are Islamic (Wahabeist) do
target Shia communities in general...after all what's the point of blowing up a
Shia mosque or setting off a car bomb at a Shia funeral? IF, and it's a
big "if", there is a strong Wahabeist tendency, then they can kill or drive off
anyone from that religeon since they don't cosnider them muslims and that is
what they did in Saudi Arabia.

The issue is that there is a LARGE minority, at least, of Iraqi's that support
the gov't, or, for economic reasons, work on 'reconstruction' projects. No
serious insurgency can expect to win an armed struggle by targeting close to
HALF the population (if, in fact, this is the case). This is a real quandry
than should be talked about.
