Re: [Marxism] Re: No, the Posadistas in Cuba were not shot

Fred Feldman has accurately answered Carlos Rivera’s absurd statement
that the Cuban Trotskyists "had to be shot as counter-revolutionaries".

Did a quick review of my sources and I made a mistake. I confused Angel Fanjul's death sentence with it being actually carried out.

Yes, no PORistas were shot. Still, if it weren't for el Che... well some less trots.

The rest is true. The POR was not only quite sizeable, but in had people in the leadership of several unions, and had industry-centric newspapers (in the style of the LO of France). I have seen copies of their Baker's Union newspaper, for example, althought I havent seen anything else.

As to the Guantanamo line, the excuse for their arrest, they explained it as being an agitational line, not an immediate political task.

One could argue that they were one of the major union allies of the M-26, in large part because the revisionist PSP had such a fucked up union line, and had in fact cooperated with the Batista government, on account that he was "a son of the proletariat".
