no doubt.  but one must guard against totalizing conspiracism, like the kind

dreamed up by david icke, which features aliens and suchlike.

CB: I don't know of David Icke, but I really haven't seen a wide spread
problem of Marxists and leftists putting forth theories about space aliens
influencing politics.
