Bob, have you flown large passenger aircrafts with sophisticated
auto-pilots? The reason the hijackers took control after the take offs
is because none of them had any experience landing or taking off in
large air craft. But once aloft, the simplicity, plus many many hours
logged on flight simulators easily could account for their ability to
target such large buildings as the WTC. Just about every professional
pilot asked about this confirms it.

The issue "what kind of person(s)" would do this, the question Louis
raised is a good one. NO CIA agent or even serious contact could/would
consider this. The motivation has to be one of desperation and
fanaticism to a cause.

This doesn't mean we have to accept the Commission report, which is a
white wash in any event (two of the supposed dead hijackers pictured
with the rest of them are walking around giving newspaper interviews,
for goodness sake and this is not mentioned in the Report). It doesn't
mean the US gov't didn't know (it doesn't prove they did, either) but
until we get a "St. Ellsberg" to come and give us the smoking gun, the
whole discussion, while curious and interesting, is really a
distraction.

Pearl Harbor is the same thing. Historians have been arguing over this
for decades too and only conspiracy theorists accept the "Roosevelt
Knew" position. That the US would wage war with Japan was obvious, just
like the whole of the coming of the Second World War was obvious...but
a conspiracy to cover up December 7th? Show me the money...
