[Marxism] marxmail archive searches

there are problems currently with the search utility at the marxmail
archives and i do not know when they will be fixed.

in the meantime, there is a quite effective way to search these archives
via google's advanced search mechanism.

surf to:

  http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en

type in your keywords in the "Find Results" section, and then specify
econ.utah.edu in the Domain entry.

for afficianados, using "-site:lists.econ.utah.edu
site:archives.econ.utah.edu" further delimits the search to avoid
replications across our two independent archives (one on the archives
machine, one on the lists machine).

in fact, this google often does as good a job searching our archives as
our own search scheme.

someone asked offlist:

> The archives on the Utah server seem to only have from Nov. 03

because of firewall changes at U Utah i no longer have access to the
machines where i loaded all the older marxmail archives. i will ask Hans
to check and see what their status is, i could swear i had converted all
the older mail-archive.com stuff to the current archive format.
