Re: [Marxism] Moderator's note

That is because you referred to the "ultra-liberal" character of Peter
Camejo's leadership of the Greens
I didn't call Camejo anything, I called the Green Party base and program
"militant liberal", which it is (and I would hope that in a forum by and for
marxists this is taken as truth, even my marxists within the GP, just like
marxists in the DP accept that the DP is bourgeoise), and raised many points
regarding his ability as a leader to deal with the DP entryists in the Green
Party, and more specifically the marxist orientation towards the GP. I made
no points regarding his ideology, which in any case is irrelevant to the
points I raised.
Gilles d'Aymery did get the point, and is the only person who (on list) has:
Camejo (not Nader) has been the most positive leader the real left in the
USA has had in ages, but has fallen into disarray in the face of a concerted
effort by the DP and we must face and challenge that reality, including the
crumpling of the Green base back into the DP.
But I digress:
I have no problem accepting your previous note on the Green Party debate,
which I took as an honest political statement (probably the single most
honest response I have seen you give in this type of situation, and I thank
you for taking the time), and this is why I havent replied, since then, to
anything related to the Green Party, as you might have noticed, including
personal attacks.
Perphaps you should include that email in the front page (as an excerpt and
then links). In any case, as I pointed out, the self-description in the
cover as to what list is about, does indeed prove insufficient in practice.
I am willing to accept an updated revision of the list description that
includes those points, but in all honesty it is troubling not just for me (I
have recieved a relatively high amount of off list mail on this thread), but
your recent actions, and in particular your partisan involvement, while I
admit has been quite tolerant, is something people attracted to the list
should have in consideration.
Just like the list pupose states that the old TvsS debate is off limits,
then perphaps putting Greens off limits, or stating this list has a explicit
pro-GDI orientation, would also be positive.
And of course, as with all rules, they are the most effective when those who
create them are the best to follow them.
Or perhaps you weren't being serious when you used this term. If that is
the case, it is also bad but perhaps not as bad. It only demonstrates that
you are a loose cannon..
Actually, am an SKS. Fairly accurate, and not too messy. When compared to an
AK-47, thats it.
In any case doing a rigorous, inconvinient, questioning of existing
political conditions, its tactics and strategies is being a loose cannon,
then marxism is being a loose cannon elevated to the level of social
science.
And the next day I am ashamed of being a marxist would be the first.
