[Below are the greetings from Dr Carolus Wimmer, Director of
International Relations for the National Assembly of Venezuela, member
of Communist Party of Venezuela, who because of visa hassles was
unable to attend the 3rd Asia Pacific International Solidarity
Conference. Hopeful he will be able to come out to Australia for the
3rd National Latin America Solidarity Conference scheduled to be held
in Melbourne September 24, 2005.]

Dear comrades and participants of the 3rd Asia Pacific International
Solidarity Conference in Sydney.

>From the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Communist Party of
Venezuela and the people of Venezuela send warm greetings and wishes
of days full of fraternity and successful deliberations.

In the international context of sustained development, of the people's
fight against the policies of hegemonic globalization and North
American imperialist oppression, and of constant provocation and
threats against the tendencies towards liberation and sovereignty of
the peoples and nations, the role of revolutionary ideas is of
fundamental relevance.
