[ I suppose this is what certains folks in here mean by the "Republican
Right" and
the "Papist plotters".]

Could very well be, and they could very well be right, too.

Or all of the sudden disability rights activists a non-ideological,
non-religious lot simply because they claim to?

Doesn't it enter your mind the real of possibility that at least some of
the disability rights activists are informed by religious and political
ideas that can be described as reactionary (Republican rigth) and/or
"papist"?

Or are disability rights activists some kind of special people, completely
devoid of class and ideological alliangeces, and completely devoted solely
to advancing the rights of disabled people?

Such views require and incredible excercise in disingeniousness. Yes, what
disability rights people have to say about the case is important, but to
claim they have some sort of moral superiority simply because they are
disabled, and further, to claim they live in an ideological vacuum is to say
the least, naive.
