CB: Yea, I have often thought this is the rub in the assessment of a
fascist danger today. It's problematic for debates on Dems and Republicans
in electoral politics.

However , that gets to be the "tail wagging the dog". Assessment of fascist
danger can't be subordinated to the arguments against the Democrats in
electoral politics. In other words, it's an error of giving too much
principle status to the arguments against the Democrats. Opposition to
Democrats is a tactic, not a principle.
