It references the book that influenced me about Godel, "Eternal Golden
Braid: Godel, Escher, Bach".

Ironically I came upon it after reading author Douglas Hofstadter's later
work on translation, linguistics and MAT/MT, "Le Ton beau de Marot".

He is of course not a marxist, and he is a pretentious writer, borderline
pomo, but sure as hell he is one of the most interesting reads on these
things.
