I don't mean to imply that QM doesnt have any kind of odd behavior, or that
its standard interpretation can't be substantially revised, or that QM
cannot be overthrown in the future. But the time for wallowing in a
metaphysical realm of absolute uncertainty supposedly substantiated by
quantum mechanics is now over.

Or as I have put the question ever since I first faced fractals, chaos, and
HUP:

Nothing is more certain than being certain of uncertainity.

As a matter of fact, nanotechnology is based precisely on this view, and it
is indeed a solid science that is already creating practical applications.

Buckyballs are a huge gag order on all this nonsense about absolute
uncertainty. They proved you can build stability even within inherently
chaotic, uncertain things, such as Carbon atoms.

The more I hear, the more I regret never going into physics/applied math.
Sociology seemed sexier at the time. Too late.

sks
