[Marxism] Re: Clinton and sex (and I quit!)

Phillip Ferguson writes:
Fred, are you seriously suggesting that oral sex, especially with the
result of Clinton actually ejaculating, is not sex?

I am suggesting that Clinton was not lying when he said, "I did not have
sex with that woman." Just as he was definitely not lying, the evidence
now confirms, when he said, "I did not inhale."

Of course, oral sex and many other things are sexual activity. But I
don't think Clinton was the only person in the world who did not think
that oral sex was having sex or, as we used to put it,
"going all the way." That wasn't how I saw it either. And I wasn't
unique. In my day, to use the popular baseball terminology, oral sex
was a solid triple, one that might even give you a runner in scoring
position, but not a home run. A home run -- having sex -- was the
reproductive act, with or without birth control devices.

I'm afraid that ejaculating doesn't, as the saying goes, cut the mustard
as a standard. Is someone who ejaculates into a paper cup having sex?
The Bible condemns those who spill their seed upon the ground, but seems
to indicate that this is not the same as having sex.

I also pointed out correctly that the standard of losing virginity for
women has not included oral sex -- not only in our time but long before.
Many other -- even all -- forms of sexual activity might be and were
considered immoral or even criminal, but the loss of virginity only
took place with the reproductive sexual act.

The definition of "having sex" that the Starr commission gave Clinton,
and required that he accept in answering on pain of perjury, was very
broad. Many of you will be glad to find out that you've been having a
lot more sex than you think.

This is the last I will say on this question. The discussion is
teetering on the edge of a plunge into Masters and Johnson or Shere Hite
land and I am not going there. No more.

Of course, Clinton was a corrupt, lying warmaking politician. I was
merely pointing out that his most famous lies -- the only ones that ever
come up when Clinton is mentioned -- were not his real lies, even aside
from the fact that they were really none of anybody else's business.
The Starr gang's witch-hunt, aimed at destroying Clinton personally as
well as politically, turned out to provide a coverup of world historic
proportions for his real lies and crimes. Anybody who believes that
Clinton's statements about sex and pot-smoking were Clinton's big "lies"
or that Whitewater was the epitome of Clintonian corruption can only
conclude, if they know any American history and are at all objective,
that he was one of the most honest presidents in American history, and
certainly the most honest in the twentieth century. This ain't so but
Starr made it look that way.

By the way, Clinton invaded KOSOVO -- a legal part of Yugoslavia at the
time -- and is holding on to it to this day. He also escalated the
attack on Somalia. And he invaded Haiti, enabling imperialism to hogtie
the Aristide regime and prepare the current reactionary slaughter.
