The California loyalty oath to the state government (!) which I was forced
to sign to get a $1.72/hr job washing lab glassware at UCLA in 1965 was
declared unconstitutional ages ago.

Annually updated and renewed loyalty oaths?   Oh, yeah.  Having college
faculty do this would definitely have saved the U.S. from September 11.
What a wonderfully meaningless and typically bureaocratic bit of CYA....


Has this country ever convicted a spy or a terrorist or a traitor of any
sort who did not, at some point, take a loyalty oath?
