Sorry Charles - I did hesitate when I wrote that - and shouldn't have
wrote it!

In fact I wasn't even thinking of the U.S. - I was thinking of Africa in
the future having an Ariel Sharon justifying every crime in the manner
of Israel (and, he claims, jews) against the world.

No, the preferences you are talking about are clearly compensation- and
if those so called christians knew their bible they would see that it is
in fact biblical law - the slave when he or she is freed must not merely
be recompensed in order to set them up in life, strangely, it is
interpreted similar to Marx, that they should have a just part of
_the_wealth_they_helped_to_create_.

I'm not sure whether that is explicit or whether that is rabbinical and
talmudical interpretation.

The situation in the USA is not what I was commenting on - nor the
export of slaves - but the horrors of the colonialisation, such as in
the Congo and SW Africa.

Europe is slowly wakening up.

As Le Monde Diplomatique said, what was special about the holocaust was
that it happened under our noses and not far away.
