fully cognizant of the difficulties in gathering this information  i
wish we had much fuller demographics for this list than mere location
which doesn't tell us very much, really (no criticism implied!)  if, as
louis told us recently and quoting bob fitch, "even vulgar marxism
explains about 80% of what's going on in the world", then SOME
demographers, usually sociologists, would say that demographics explains
90+%.  i am struck by the absence of female posters here (although some
may be posting using the George Eliot technique) and i would sure like
to know at least the age breakdown, and the social class background,
however hard that is to pin down (i met a marxist from NY once who
pedaled his "working class" background but when i asked specifically
what his father did for a living, he said, with no embarrassment, that
his dad OWNED a painting business! by that criterion, i guess i was WC
too, since my dad was a general contractor.   [;>))).

any comments?
