consideration at the time, not an empty, radical sounding slogan it means
today. We must view Dresden in that light.
I agree so asolutely.
So much of the historical discussion on this, and other lists, ignores such
considerations - and really shows a very great paucity of imagination -
discussion of history on "moral" grounds is simply ludicrous - it is
absolutely necessary to try to imagine yourself into the relevant timeframe.
(I am tempted to enter into that Lou-forbidden territory of
Stalinist/Trotskyist discussion which so may of the latter persuasion seem
to get away with - but the comment in the last paragraph forcefully applies)
