RE: [Marxism] Genocide and intentionality
Louis,
I understand your objections to the tendency of some on the list to
address the latest SWP or MILITANT news, though I probably see more
merit to it than you do.
However, by comparison, I see absolutely no point to these polemical
exchanges with academic pseudo-progressive neo-libs. Unlike the SWP,
they're not trying to build a group. In fact, I don't see how anyone
not a member of the club sees them as anything other than
run-of-the-mill Democrat.
I also think that it misses the point to try to debate the content of
Churchill's arguments with them. Any academic who won't defend academic
freedom demonstrates the utter worthlessness of their so-called thought
processes.
Solidarity!

treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a
Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio
or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years. ... If
destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher."
