Yes. Jurriaan has infuriated me at times -- and at other times I simply
have not read his posts. But some of his "lectures" do carry useful
information or pose useful topics (whether or not one agrees with them).
He labels himself a non-marxist; surely a non-marxist who does know a
great deal about Marx and Marxism can be a useful entity/person to have
on a list.
For a while he really pissed me off royally last year, but as soon as I
recognized the obvious -- I didn't _have_ to read hime -- I began to
enjoy the posts I did read. And having a very spotty background in
formal philosophy, I learned something that is perhaps useful from his
little lecture on phenomenology. He didn't intend this, and I have
articulated yet my response, but that post helped me understand Lenin's
MEC a bit more clearly.
