If one can't free ones self from microsoft operating systems and
dependent products, one cannot expect to be taken seriously about
wanting to free society of capitalism.

Microsoft's strategy is to lock people into their operating system and
products.

It makes me seethe with anger to see so-called leftists (not to say
Marxists) unwilling to make any serious effort to move from a commercial
OS and application software to free and open OS and application software
 that represents all that socialism stands for.

Yup - a real litmus test.

Being forced to do a "Windows system restore" speaks
volumes about the low quality of Microsoft operating systems.

Would you attach the heart-lung machine of someone you love to
a Microsoft system?

Only in so far as this topic shows how much people are willing to
"talk-the-talk", but are not willing to "walk-the-walk" is this topic
relevant to this mailing list.
