RE: [Marxism] "Download Eyes on the Prize"
Hi Joaquin
Sorry I was not clear - I am not from Downhill Battle. The news that the
torrents are down was on their site.
If the files are not changed [same titles; folders; etc, same torrent
file...]
the torrent file can simply be uploaded to whatever other tracker site and
seeded by whoever puts it back up. This could be you or I if we had the
full download and had not screwed around with the files or deleted the
original tracker.
If the tracker has to be remade, or the fil formats have been in any way
altered, we all start from zero.
For my part, I was alerted to the fact that the files may be available via
the marxism list, followed the links and found the bad news, so am at zero
anyway.
I put the query out in the hope that someone would seed and send us the
new tracker website link.

Paul,
Not clear to me if you were forwarding something you'd received from
Downhill Battle or if you're from that org.
There are other places it can be seeded, beyond the reach of these
lawyers, such as bi-torrent.com. The issue is that it would best be done
from a non-U.S. IP address, otherwise, I assume, the seeder could get shut
down.
I don't know enough about bit torrent to know whether, for example,
if a different torrent swarm were started, whether someone who already has
the files can join the torrent *as an additional seeder* with the
already-downloaded files, and whether people with partial downloads could
resume them from that new torrent.
Then there is the question of the additional episodes, only the
first three got out. If you're from downhill battle, presumably y'all have
a
way to contact the releasers and direct them to persons beyond the reach of
these lawyers who could seed those also.
Joaquín
