i have installed Thunderbird's under multiple Windows XP, sans probleme.
i do vaguely recall one install where Outlook import choked the first
time. unfortunately i can not remmeber specifics.

since Lou and I are eager to get many people switched over, contact me
offlist with your troubles and we'll see if we can build up a common
list of install problems and solutions.
