The West (and the Soviets) also waged a war against and demonized Hitler
for political reasons.  Anything good to say about Hitler?  Apparently,
demons get demonized, too.

Mass murder, labor camps, selling out workers in other countries aren't
building blocs for socialism.  Indeed, any project that includes them
can't be anything but "socialist" or "democratic" in name.

There are reasons the list has generally avoided rehashing the
Stalin-Trotsky debate.  I think the main reason is the desire to avoid
its religious dimensions, which defy all logic and invariably involve a
kind of electronic "witnessing".
