I positively _hate_ "political correctness", so that please don't 
take what follows as such, Calvin.  However, the temptation is too 
great for me not to fall into it (won't be the worst of my sins, so 
that who cares).

It is not a matter of the "natives"  (who are friendly) but of the 
imperialists, who are aggressive.

Their aggresivity comes in very different clothing, however, and in a 
sense the way they agress defines the ways in which one defends.
