[Marxism] ISN'T THIS A TIME!

Hello Friend;

I would like to inform you about a SATURDAY MATINEE FILM SERIES I think you
would be interested in.

On Sat. Jan 29th, ISN'T THIS A TIME!, a concert film of (probably) the last
public performance of The Weavers with Pete Seeger, will be shown. Filmed at
Carnegie Hall last Thanksgiving, the joyous celebration includes
heartwarming performances by Arlo Guthrie, Peter Paul & Mary, Leon Bibb,
Theodore Bikel and others.

It's a Tribute Concert to Harold Leventhal that features words of wisdom
from many of the great progressive folk artists of the last century.

The film will be shown on the new large screen built for The SWORDS INTO
PLOWSHARES PEACE GALLERY at Woodward and Adams Rd. downtown Detroit, with
theater sound system and lighting. Preceded by a reception with special
guests at 1 pm in the Gallery, the film will start at 2 pm in the second
floor theater of Central Methodist Church. A question and answer session
will follow. There is no charge for this however donations will be accepted.

This is the beginning of a new series of politically relevant films about
art and struggle.  Feb 12th will feature the premiere of the Cuban
documentary on the Cuban 5 being held in American prisons. Feb 26th will
feature AMANDLA; A REVOLUTION IN FOUR-PART HARMONY describing the power of
music in the African struggle to end Apartheid.
