25,000 take part in pro-Yanukovich rallies in
southeast Ukraine

DONETSK - More than 25,000 attended rallies in support
of Viktor Yanukovich in southeast Ukraine on Sunday.
The largest rally was held on the central square of
Donetsk, where supporters of the former prime minister
placed a tent camp.

Tent camp commandant Dmitry Prudnikov told Itar-Tass
that 50 tents had been placed, and another 20 would be
added on Monday. Representatives of parties and public
organizations and their supporters from 15 regions of
Ukraine, who are taking part in daily rallies, live in
the tent camp.

The Donetsk rally demanded from the Ukraine TV Company
administration to resume live broadcasts from the
square and blocked the traffic on the city main street
for one hour.

Vladimir Marchenko, a co-leader of the Ukrainian
Progressive Socialist Party, said that rallies against
?the anti-constitutional decision of the Central
Elections Commission that announced Viktor Yushchenko
the election winner? were held in Dnepropetrovsk,
Odessa, Kharkov, Kherson, Simferopol and some other
Ukrainian cities on Sunday.
