re: [Marxism] Problems In Bolivia
Huh? Did I miss something? Or is there some arcane term for gay sex that
I've never heard of that appears in the text by "academicanarchist" (Robert
Jackson) referred to below? Maybe "occurring today"? Or the hot phrase "run
by a rapacious"? Or maybe even the titillating "openly traded dollars"? If
someone is going to make allegations, they should at least try to be clear.

I would like to point out to "academicanarchist" (Robert Jackson) that it
is offensive to compare a Gay sexual act with the forcible exploitation of
Bolivia's poor by wealthy U. S. capitalist supporters. You may not
identify with the sexual act in a positive way - but others such as myself
are not ashamed of our enjoying this sexual act.
I suggest he find his political writings to attacking other things - that
are truly oppressive - and not Gay sex.

Subject: [Marxism] Problems In Bolivia
What is occurring today in Bolivia has happened many times in recent
history. I lived in Cochabamba fro a year from 1986-1987, and a month
after
I arrived the tin miners from Oruro were marching on La Paz, and the U.S.
supported president imposed a state of siege. Bolivia is one of the
poorest
countries in Latin America that is run by a rapacious and utterly corrupt
oligarchy that has bent over to be done by the United States for a few
silver coins. In 1985, inflation ran 25,000%, and the exchange rate
that had
been 25 to the dollar in 1982 reached 2,000,000 to the dollar. Most
Bolivians saw any savings they had wiped out, and those with connections
openly traded dollars in a form of arbitrage. Mamami is a typical
indigenous
name, and the large indigenous population of the country has been
exploited
the most.
