But don't these "technical systems of co-ordination" include the
forms of consciousness that enable the co-ordination to exist, in
the first place? It is important to answer this question, because if
we answer "yes" (and I, for one, do, among other reasons because I
have had the experience, through my lifespan to date, to watch the
effect of class demoralization on productivity, both among workers
and among the bourgeoisie: gifts from Argentinean history) we should
consider "philosophical" issues more closely and seriously than
usual.
Productive forces can begin to revolutionized (for better or for
worse, should we soberingly add with the 1975-2000 experience behind
us) by simply a change in those forms of consciousness, even in the
perspectives of future, which become a _material_ issue of the
greatest importance.
But these "perspectives of future", don't they entail, in some way or
other, some kind of "philosophy of history", not of necessity a
_system_ but a general outlook?
