RE: [Marxism] Marx's Grave - When is a grave not a grave

You are either profoundly mistaken or do not know what
you are talking about.
1) The monument is not the original grave but it is the present
one. The original grave is still there a few hundred yards to the
south but difficult to find without a guide. There are no longer
any remains in this grave but a plaque still marks it.
2) Highgate Cemetery is in two parts: one each side of Swains
Lane. Highgate East has never been closed. The older cemetery,
Highgate West was closed at one time, because of its dilapidated
state, but is now accessible through special tours (as shown on
the site below). This became possible when the Friends of
Highgate Cemetery took over the lease of the West Cemetery in
1981.
3) In 1956 the remains of Marx and his family (including Eleanor
Marx whose urn was previously kept at the Communist Party's
offices at 16 King Street) were all interred in the new monument.

None of this is any great secret and all this is verifiable on
the web.
