Re: [Marxism] question to Carlos A. Rivera - re MM & Left

Lenin said of parlamentary participation that it should be like giving the
rope to the bourgeoise so they can hang themselves with it. The Right in
the
USA has fully understood that, and is giving us the rope every day.
Question: Please clarify what you mean as I think the exact opposite is
true. The socialist left (and the liberal-left that is left enough to be
threatening) is suffocating because we get zero air-time. Nader and
Camejo were shut out of the debate in US elections, just as the Socialist
Alliance part was in Australia.
We mean the same thing. The Right has hegemonized the political space to the
point they speak of "mainstream america" as if it were a right-wing
paradise. Which is not completely true.
It is true that the revolutionary left needs to be self critical, eg with
sectarianism. But Mike More can get air-time that we can't, MOSTLY
because we are revolutionary, and he isn't.
Naw, he could very well be mouthing our line IF we wouldn't have alienated
him.
Lest not forget that he was in all probability the only guy to speak about
the Labor Party in Prime time tv in front of millions. And the Labor Party
was a revolutionary project in content, if not in form. But Moore and others
were so mistreated by so many, that they left running in horror
Even is main critique of the Democrats in 2000 was basically pushing the WWP
as showing that there are already other third party alternatives with left
content, its just that we don't vote or are active in them.
Yet the WWP was insulted by this article, for reasons I have never
understood. Thus, MM stops publicizing the elft, because the left tells him
to fuck off. I don't blame him...
