An important work by Ghassan Kanafani, Palestinian Stalinist
 and leader of the PFLP from its founding until his assassination,
 is now online. The work, "The 1936-1939 Revolt in Palestine," is the
only analysis of Palestinian history in English by an activist,
organized Palestinian Marxist (as opposed to more recent academic
Marxists) of which I'm aware. And it deals with class dynamics
at a crucial time in Palestine. I've just started skimming it (it's
very hard to find and tonight's the first time I've seen it after
hearing about it for years); but just as a documentary source it's invaluable.

sheds light on the history of Palestinian resistance and continues to bear
relevance today. It is a must-read article and has been extremely hard to find
in English for a number of years. Please pass this on to others who would be
interested!

While the popular movement in Palestine continues to face massive repression
and
great difficulties despite its steadfastness and heroism, this people's
history
of Palestinian resistance is instructive and important, and we encourage you
to
read, discuss and share this information!
