another message from the resistance:
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article7468.htm
please note the lines, which we should find familiar:
"Know that by helping the Iraqi people you are helping yourselves, for
tomorrow may bring the same destruction to you."
....
"This conflict is no longer considered a localized war. Nor can the
world remain hostage to the never-ending and regenerated fear that the
American people suffer from in general."
The next line may be of interest to the anti-war movement:
"We will pin them here in Iraq to drain their resources, manpower, and
their will to fight. We will make them spend as much as they steal, if
not more."
IF (in capitals) it became clear that the intention was to bog down the
USuk forces in Iraq and the bring-the-troops-home movement gained in
activity and movement, the administration would stand between the
choices of bringing the troops home and caving into the anti-war
movement - a victory for the left in the U.S., OR, by resisting the
pressure to bring troops back, the administration can be made to be seen
as haven fallen into a trap.
Zulu pincer movement ? (to remind us of another imperialist getting its
arse kicked).
Michael
