[Marxism] WSWS and the SEP

Recently I became embroiled in a bit of an argument surrounding the validity
of the World Socialist Website (WSWS). I feel it is nothing more than a
sectarian piece of crap, to put it bluntly, where as the individual I spoke
with feels it spreads the "god?s honest truth." He used the WSWS and the
Socialist Equality Party (SEP) as proof of their vanguard role in American
politics, and their articles as proof of the nature of geo-politics and the
extent of "Stalinism" in the CPC and the world in general.

Suffice to say, I do not share his sentiment. During the discussion I tried
to prove the WSWS slant, and general misrepresentation on certain matters,
by showcasing their treatment of Peter Camejo during the past US
Presidential Election, and during the California Governor recall fiasco. He
countered by stating Camejo betrayed the SWP and the WSWS were right in
attacking him.

I thought I would write this message in the hope some of you could possible
relate your own feelings and experiences surrounding the WSWS and if
possible the SEP.

The discussion of the WSWS, it a part of a larger discussion of ?Stalinism?
within the current Communist Party of Canada (CPC). I am trying to address
this topic ?bit by bit,? and the WSWS is one such ?bit? I must analyse
before moving on to much bigger and, somewhat more, annoying subjects.

I am sorry if this brings up any bad experiences, and I truly hope my post
does not start a flame war. If anyone believes this may be possible, perhaps
it would be best to reply off list rather than wasting bandwidth, as well
as, Louis' time shutting down any possible flaming.
