In any case, after further examination of the antique tractor mailing list
and some offlist discussion with Rachel, I am convinced that she is Rachel
and not Louis Godena.

She made the essential point that I had overlooked, namely that Louis G. is
not the kind of person to conceal his identity.

I guess that alarm bells go off when a subscriber posts announcements about
Adolfo Olaechea and controversial statements from time to time. I suspect,
however, that Rachel is not looking forward to confrontations such as the
kind that took place yesterday and that things will simmer down.

As a rule of thumb on moderation, I don't usually take disciplinary action
when somebody writes something controversial or when another comrades loses
his or her temper as a result. My main interest is in preventing this kind
of interaction from going on for weeks and weeks, as it tends to do on
Henwood's list or the list that preceded this one. That's when people begin
to unsub. I want this list to grow, not to shrink. My eyes are set on
reaching a subscriber base of a thousand and I don't want anything to
interfere with that.
