For Marxists the fact that both Greece in Alexander's time and capitalism
today are class divided societies is a common root to their imperialism.
Before the advent of the male supremacist family, private property and the
state in ancient Greece, they weren't imperialists.

The socialist revolution does not just end capitalism. It ends class divided
society.

These propositions inform a Marxist analysis of the movie _Alexander_.
