UNITED NEW AFRICA GLOBAL NETWORK
(UNAGN)
We would like to inform all comrades, sisters,
brothers, friends and any other people all over the
world who may be interested in news and information
about United New Africa Global Network (UNAGN) which
until recently was known as New Africa International
Network (NAIN). The new name was chosen because it is
more meaningful and accurate, than the previous one,
in describing what the Network is all about.
Consequently, the address of its website has changed
to www.unitednewafrica.com and that of its e-mail is
now info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This website which is
updated regularly is open to anybody for
contributions. It is a global forum for Pan-Africanist
and socialist research, ideas, analysis and
information against imperialism and capitalism. It
supports, unwaveringly, the continuation of the
socio-economic liberation and development process in,
and the total unity of Africa and the Black World. The
website is one of the major projects of UNAGN.
UNAGN is a world-wide non-governmental organisation
for promoting Pan-Africanism and the Second Liberation
Struggle of Africa and the Black World. The objective
of this struggle is the urgent establishment and the
speedy socio-economic development of a socialist
United New Africa as the main centre of the Black
World. United New Africa is also what is often
referred to as the United States of Africa. UNAGN
strongly believes that this objective must be speedily
realised, or else Africa and the Black World as a
whole will remain in its present condition of being
the wretched of the earth.
Such a United New Africa will fully incorporate and
involve the Diasporan Africans in its organisational
structures, socio-economic development processes and
all other programmes of action. In this age of
international anti-black white racism and imperialism,
United New Africa will become a solid and unshakeable
base for all black people world-wide. Africa needs
them and they need Africa. Therefore the best way
forward to the true and practical unity of Global
Africa is to make the African Diaspora the sixth
region of the African Union.
UNAGN strongly believes that if united, Africa and the
Black World will be able to conquer its enemies and
will be free to make rapid socio-economic progress.
But if it continues to be divided, it will continue to
be dominated and exploited. This means it will remain
an easy victim of the western tactics of divide and
rule, marginalisation, manipulation and
neo-colonialism leading to re-colonisation; and,
Africa and the Black World will continue to move
backwards or at least remain stagnant, which is also
equally unacceptable.
UNAGN is for anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist and
socialist globalisation. It is therefore determined to
contribute vigorously to the re-structuring and
democratisation of the current system of international
relations, including its institutions and the
international trading regime which are all
neo-colonialist both in their design and operations.
UNAGN strongly and actively promotes the speedy
development of the African Union (AU) and its
transformation into a United New Africa. The envisaged
United New Africa will be powerful, anti-racist,
anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, socialist,
independent, self-reliant, incorruptible, prosperous
and democratic. It will be totally committed to a
comprehensive human rights system which includes
cultural, political, gender and economic rights.
In order to achieve these desired results, this
struggle must be based on Pan-Africanism and
scientific socialism as advocated by modern
revolutionary Pan-Africanist heroes like Kwame
Nkrumah. His numerous writings are very clear on these
issues.
If this route is not followed, the result will be a
society in which the policies of the IMF and the World
Bank will continue to dominate. The West will continue
to exploit Africa as it wishes. The local rich ruling
elite will continue to corruptly get richer at the
expense of the workers and the peasants. The gap
between the rich and the poor will continue to widen.
Poverty and the suffering of the people will continue,
and the Second Liberation Struggle will not have
achieved its goals.
The African Union should now lead and co-ordinate the
Second Liberation Struggle. The African Union has to
play this role if it is going to be part of the
solution. This must be done in conjunction with the
effective, numerous, varied and independent groups,
organisations, institutions and governments which are
genuinely anti-imperialist and Pan-Africanist. It is
out of them that a global movement for the Second
Liberation Struggle of Africa and the Black World will
emerge. Such a movement should initially be in the
form of a united front of independent revolutionary
forces.
In order to achieve its objectives, UNAGN carries out
various projects and activities which include
research, mass dissemination of information,
networking and co-ordination activities, campaigns,
mobilisational work and it actively promotes social
action internationally in support of its causes.
