Answer:
As with all OSCE election "observing", it's not about the fair
results; it;s about the right result.
Kuchma, formerly a puppet of the U.S. (particularly billionaire
banker Soros who some credit for single-handedly bringing him to
power), has since fallen out of favour and has recently alligned
himself to Russia (Putin). The west is supporting his main
opponent (towards his party).
I suppose I don't need to spell why? Although perhaps this is also
issue of a Democrat crony such as Soros batting it out through the
Ukrainian election with his 'sworn enemy' Bush? I'm speculating, of
course.
In any case, I expect the same fate to befall Kuchma's party as
had Shevernazi's in Georgia, and before that, Milosevic and the
Socialists in Serbia -- namely, "popular uprising".
