Dear Friend, it's that time of year when the Southern California
Library holds its annual end-of-the-year bash--but this year, there's a
difference. In fact, of all the years, this is one Holiday Party
Fundraiser you don't want to miss. So whatever you do, make sure you're
at the Library (6120 S. Vermont Avenue, between Slauson and Gage) on
Saturday, December 4, at 2 p.m.

We'll give you the top 5 reasons you don't want to miss this party:

#5: Enjoy free food, wine, and music with great people--including a
performance by political satirist Roy Zimmerman (creator of the comedy
quartet The Foremen; see www.royzimmerman.com for more on Roy)

#4: Shop at our fabulous Silent Auction--with great holiday gifts,
including gift baskets, gift certificates, tickets to House of Blues
Gospel Brunch, concert tickets, museum tickets, original art,
handcrafted items, and more

#3: Meet and welcome our new Director, Yusef Omowale--who is very much
looking forward to meeting with you, sharing his thoughts about the
Library and its future, and hearing from you what you think is
important for the Library as it moves forward

#2: Say goodbye and fond farewell to departing staff--including
longtime staff Sarah Cooper and Mary Tyler who are stepping down after
20 plus years of dedicated service to the Library
