[Marxism] US Fallujah Offensive Leaves 31 GIs Dead
Three members of Prime Minister Quisling's family have been kidnapped.
Iraq's Sunni leaders are withdrawing from the "political process",
and rebels are escalating strikes throughout the country. Remarkably,
there are still a few elements on the political left who refuse to
acknowledge either the legitimacy and the success in the field of the
Iraqi forces resisting Washington's occupation of their home country.
Part of the Iraqi resistance has been transferred from Falloujah to
Mosul where some reports already have them taking control:

tml> In fact, fighting has flared up around Iraq.
Washington has kept Falloujah without water for a week:

Yet, some are swallowing the Pentagon's version:

According to these prophets: "There is no revolutionary resistance
in Iraq today. That?s why the U.S. and Iraqi forces are likely to
roll through Fallujah and other cities in the area."

[As of Saturday night, BBC and US mainstream news reporters were
still repeating figures of 18 US KIA, even though the US command had
already upped the figure to 22, and were admitting that their two-day
offensive (already 7 days old) would take another "72 hours" to finish
"cleaning out pockets of resistance." As of Sunday morning Al Jazeera
says says 31 US troops have been killed in Fallujah. The US also said
it had killed somewhere around 1600 Iraqi resistance fighters. Total
silence on civilian casualties, as usual, except for Allawi's idiotic
claim that there were none.-NY Transfer]

US Fallujah Offensive Leaves 31 GIs Dead
Baghdad, Nov 14 (Prensa Latina) Attempts by US forces to capture
members of the Iraqi insurgency in the embattled city of Fallujah have
so far left 31 GIs dead and 13 others wounded, according to reports
from Al Jazeera Qatari TV channel.
Those who died in the offensive were members of the US Marines Corps
participating in the code-named offensive "Ghost Fury" that has now
reached its seventh day of attacks in this Sunni locality, 50
kilometers west of this capital.
The rebels sheltered in a building detonated an explosive when US
troops stormed the place.
The Central command published neither the identity nor the rank of
victims.
The latest casualties have added up to the 1076 that have been killed
in 19 months of US aggression and subsequent occupation.
The US command agreed this Sunday that Iraqi resistance has been more
effective and organized in the south of Fallujah City than expected,
and ordered new air raids against several residential sectors.
The Iraqi minister of National Security, Kasser Daud said in a press
conference that the Jordan Abu Mussab Al Zarqawi, Al Qaeda alleged
leader, had ran away from Fallujah
Al Zarqawi and several supporters withdrewfrom the place in the middle
of the Pentagon offensive, also called Dawn, which began on November
8, involving tens of thousands of soldiers.
Currently Fallujah is a desolated city in ruins, growingly threatened
by a human catastrophe, amid hundreds of dead bodies and wounded
people left on the streets.
According to estimates nearly one third on the city´s 300 000
inhabitants are coping with the constant raids plus lack of water,
food, electricity or medical assistance.
