If the part of "scattered resistance" is true, it's again an indication
of how clever and well organized the resistance is. Most who were
stationed in Fallujah probably abandoned the city under civilian
cover. Better to preserve "manpower" by letting the U.S. waste
needless arms and energy trying to annihilate an abandoned city
than to fight the U.S. head on in unwinnable circumstances. We
have already seen how this has played out throughout the course
of the occupation. The fallujah resistance will probably regroup and
plan their next course of action. The U.S. has the military power
and technology. The Iraqi resistance has the intelligence,
coordination, not least the will and desire to win.
