The headline about "dumb" americans (note, I think this argument is
itself "dumb") was from the Daily Mirror
(http://www.mirror.co.uk/frontpages/). The others I'm not sure about.
Having moved to the UK from Australia, I was surprised to find how
readily people were prepared to be anti-american. I don't think its all
leftwing sentiment however. I suspect at least some of it goes back to
the colonial past.
