This is precisely the kind of repulsive stupidity I am talking about. This 
striking of
tough poses, cheap, vapid, one-liners that don't mean jack shit in the real 
world.

Everything, according to this chap, will be solved once we silly "intellectual" 
folk
get back to the "real" nirvana of Marxist classics - in there lies all the 
answers.

This chap makes about as much sense as shit on wheels. On the one hand the 
problem today
is "the spectre of Maoist/Stalinism", whatever the hell that is - and on the 
other hand
it's actually "leftie-liberal guilt", ie. recognizing the reality of economic 
privileges
accrued over centuries of colonialism and imperialism - but then on the THIRD 
hard then
problem is that the working-class need be made "aware of their class interest". 
Apparently
what's preventing this grand epiphany from occurring is "slumming 
intellectuals."

I'm tired of this kind of holier-than-thou tripe. In the priceless words of 
Dick Cheney,
go fuck yourself.
