Subject: what about November 2nd?

I just read the pieces by Medea and Ted about mobilization plans to
protect the right to vote starting November 3rd. I couldn't agree more
and I'm glad plans are in place. BUT--

Given what the Times reported about the thousands of Republican
"poll-watchers" who will be in place NOVEMBER 2ND, at the polls,
harassing and intimidating voters, there needs to be a plan for that day
as well. Not just Democratic Party legal observers, but teams ready to
confront these "poll-watchers" at the polls and to demand their REMOVAL
from polling sites the very first time they break the law by carrying out
illegal harassment and intimidation.

As far as I'm concerned these thugs are no different than the original
Klan intimidating Black voters in the 1870's.
